There are many reasons why individuals do not exercise. One, it could be because the gym is very far from where they are residing and accessibility can be an issue. Second, they just don’t have the time to exercise because of their work and busy lifestyle. Third, the gym membership can be pricey and not everyone can afford to pay it monthly or annually. These are the reasons why others find a more convenient way to exercise.

#1: Plank Exercise

What you need: Flat surface or yoga mat

How to do it: Hold yourself in a push-up position for a specific period of time. Make sure your core is contracted in to yield benefits to the core, hamstrings, and glutes.

Planks are great core exercise. When performed correctly, it can have great benefits not only to your core but also your muscles. The key to maximizing its potential is to hold the position for a long time. But you can also get a solid workout even with shorter plank time. If you want to do a quick plank session, plank for 10 seconds and relax for 5 to 10 seconds. Plank again for another 10 seconds and repeat the process for three to six sets. For greater plank density, just increase the time and repeat.

#2: Pushup Exercise

How to do it: Start with a pushup position. Make sure your hands are about shoulder-width apart. Keep lower back flat. Lower yourself and keep your elbows close to the body.

To tone our upper body, doing pushups is the best exercise. As a matter of fact, this is a total-body functional movement. This can help build our chest, arms, shoulders and even our core. In return, it can increase our strength and engages our core and upper body. You can start with ten repetitions of pushup then rest for a few seconds.

#3: Mountain Climbing

How to do it: Start with a pushup position. Make sure core is tight and get into the run position. Drive your knees to your chest and be mindful to not raise your hips.

Mountain climbing is easy as this exercise doesn’t require you to climb a mountain. This is a great exercise for your heart as this increases our heart rate. In return, this can burn calories and speed up our metabolism. Even doing it for 30 seconds, you can feel your heart pounding after the exercise.
